DESCRIPTION:
AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553 is an epoxy based solvent free, moisture insensitive pourable grout. This product is especially useful in concrete repair particularly in damp, wet or under-water conditions. After the components are mixed well, the pourable mortar is poured into the cavity where it forms a very rigid and high strength material.
USES:
- AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553 is recommended for grouting of concrete in wet conditions, bridge bearing plates, rail tracks, for fixing bolts and anchors in dynamic loading also.
ADVANTAGES:
- AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553 cures without shrinkage
- Even under saline water it shows excellent adhesion to cement substrate
- It has high strength despite strengthening under water
- High early strength and easy to apply
INSTRUCTION FOR USE:
- SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
- The substrate quality and strength must be checked before application of AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553. Substrate must sound, clean and free from any contaminations. Steel surface must be cleaned properly before application.
- Base plate and surface area must be clean and sound before application of AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553. No standing water should be allowed before pouring of the grout.
- MIXING
- Components A and C should be mixed well for 2-3 minutes, in a slow speed electric drill until the material becomes smooth in consistency and uniform in colour.
- Then add Component B and mix for 2-3 minutes until an even colour of the mix is obtained.
- Mix only that quantity which can be used within its pot life.
- Mixing ratio : COMPONENT A : COMPONENT B : COMPONENT C = 2 : 1 : 8
- APPLICATION METHOD
- AT-VIBROUT (UW) 553 after mixing forms a pourable grout. Hence it requires a temporary formwork to hold the material.
- Apply suitable mould releasing agent to prevent adhesion of the grout with formwork.
- For greater thickness place the epoxy grout in successive layers.
- CLEANING
- All tools and equipment should be cleaned immediately with XYLENE
