Surtard 504

DESCRIPTION:

AT-SURTARD 504 is a surface retarder for exposed aggregate finish. It retards the hydration of cement at the surface. When subsequently washed off, the aggregates are exposed.

USES:

• AT-SURTARD 504 provides mechanical key for subsequent operations
• AT-SURTARD 504 provides exposed aggregate finish where architectural finish is required

ADVANTAGES:

• Scrabbling of concrete is eliminated
• Can be used in all type of form-works
• Gives desired results in high temperature concreting
• Labour cost is reduced
• Non-hazardous, non-toxic

COVERAGE:

• 0.100 kg – 0.200 kg/m2 depending on the surface and porosity of form-work.

APPLICATION:

• AT-SURTARD 504 should be stirred well before use.
• It can be applied by brush, roller or spray.
• It has to be applied on clean, uncontaminated form-work. For highly absorbent formwork, minimum 2 coats have to be applied for effective / desired performance.
• Before pouring of concrete in the mould, AT-SURTARD 504 should be dry.
• Remove form-work as quickly as possible and wash off concrete surface with a strong water jet.
• Depending upon the rate of application the depth of exposure can be 4 mm to 10 mm on the concrete surface.

PACKAGING & STORAGE:

• AT-SURTARD 504 is available in the following pack:
  • 20 kg, 50 kg & 200 kg PACKING
• Shelf life is 12 months in sealed containers as provided
• Keep containers sealed and away from heat and cold in a well ventilated area
• Stir material well before use

HEALTH & SAFETY:

• Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
• Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water.
• Store in well-labeled containers.
