Soluble Sodium Silicate (water-glass) is a liquid containing dissolved glass which has water like properties. It is widely used in industry as sealants, binders, deflocculants, emulsifiers and buffers. Its most common applications in India are in the paper and pulp industry (where it improves the brightness and efficiency of peroxide bleaching) and in detergent industry, in which it improve the action of the detergent and lower the viscosity of liquid soaps etc. ADO ADDITIVES MFG PVT. LTD. (AMPL) manufactures Neutral Grade liquid Sodium Silicate which is a solution of Soda (Na2O) and Silica (SiO2) in water. ADO’s liquid Sodium Silicate is made from sodium silicate glass, which is produced in furnace by melting high purity sand with soda ash. ADO’s liquid Sodium Silicate is alkaline in nature (pH 11-12) and is available in a wide range of SILICA: SODA ratios for use in different types of industrial applications. Silicate binders are traditional; core and mould binders used in the foundry industry. Recent health and safety guidelines and increasing environmental legislation has led to a renaissance of this inorganic and odourless class of foundry binding agent. AMPL produces wide range of silicate binders for the production of both moulds and cores using both CO2 and liquid catalysts. The benefits of AMPL’s Sodium Silicate systems are:
