DESCRIPTION:
AT-REPAIR is a ready to use, water based resin damp-proofing and hardening impregnation. AT-REPAIR is transparent post drying of the application. AT-REPAIR also prevents mould growth and biological growth.
USES:
AT-REPAIR is a perfect solution to prevent damp in plastered or rendered surfaces, brick or stone etc. Due to its low viscosity, it penetrates deeply into the substrate and forms an invisible water damp-proof barrier.
- Humidity treatment
- Prevention of mould growth
- Damp-proofing and surface hardening
- AT-REPAIR is also used as a surface hardener for weak and dusty substrates, suitable for both indoor and outdoor application
- AT-REPAIR can be used as a pre-treatment for improving surfaces of painting works on weak or dusty surfaces
CHARACTERISTICS / ADVANTAGES:
- Very low viscosity of mould growth
- Almost invisible after drying
- Can be over-coated with paint or wall paper
- Can be used internally and externally
- UV resistant
APPLICATION:
- SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
a) Remove any existing paint, wall finish / putty, wall paper or wall coating that has been damaged by moisture prior to treatment until the surface of substrate seen
b) Brush the substrate thoroughly
c) Clean with fresh water
d) Allow the substrate to dry out superficially before application - MIXING
a) AT-REPAIR is supplied as ready for use material. Shake the bottle well prior to use. - APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
a) Apply AT-REPAIR by brush or roller ensuring full saturation, brushing or rolling Tools well into the substrate
b) On highly absorbent substrates, a second coat might be necessary. Allow the first coat to dry prior to applying the subsequent coat - CLEANING OF TOOLS
a) Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use
- NOTES ON APPLICATION /LIMITATIONS
a) AT-REPAIR is unable to prevent damage due to condensation on cold walls (e.g. in poorly ventilated rooms)
b) AT-REPAIR cannot be used to make good excessively damaged substrates requiring complete resurfacing (e.g. deteriorated softened plaster, etc.)
c) If not over coated, in certain circumstances, AT-REPAIR might change the visual aspect of the surface slightly – always carry out preliminary tests prior to full application
d) Allow AT-REPAIR to fully dry out tack free prior to over painting or applying wall paper
e) When over coating with wall paper, use a wall paper adhesive designed for non-absorbent substrates
f) AT-REPAIR is not recommended to prevent rising dampness.
CONSUMPTION:
- Generally 0.2 to 0.3 litres/m² per coat depending on the substrate porosity
