DESCRIPTION:
AT-POLYMOR 330 is a water dispersion of an acrylic polymer specifically designed for spray-able cementitious compositions, such as spray-able stucco-type coatings, which can be applied on a variety of surfaces. AT-POLYMOR 330 can be highly successful when formulated into a standard patching / repair mortar. Both the spray-able and patching mortars exhibit a long history of consistency and quality. Can also be used as a Bonding Agent and Curing Compound.
FEATURES & BENEFITS:
- Increases flexural and tensile strength
- Improves bond strength
- Reduces shrinkage
- Resists water penetration
- Protects from freeze-thaw damage
- Non-yellowing
- Non-toxic
PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGES:
Strength and Adhesion Advantages
- Cement mortars modified with AT-POLYMOR 330 exhibit increased tensile and flexural strengths versus unmodified mortars. When ambiently cured, thin sections dry rapidly and exhibit excellent toughness and good adhesion to old concrete and masonry, brick, wood, metals, and many other surfaces. Chemical resistance is improved over unmodified mortars.
DURABILITY ADVANTAGES:
- Mortars modified with AT-POLYMOR 330 have extraordinary durability.
APPLICATION:
- Surface Preparation: The prepared surface should be structurally sound and free from any contaminants. Damaged / Contaminated concrete has to be removed by mechanical means before application of any treatments. Corroded rebars has to be treated / replaced depending on the condition.
- Bonding Slurry: The prepared surface has to be saturated with water prior to the application of bonding slurry. Ensure that there is no standing water on the surface. Prepare a bonding slurry of 2 parts cement mixed with 1 part of AT-POLYMOR 330 by volume. Apply the same using stiff brush / roller onto the prepared surface.
- Patching / Repair Mortar: Mortar modified with AT-POLYMOR 330 has to be applied on the wet bonding slurry. Mix 20% of AT-POLYMOR 330 by weight of cement to prepare patching / repair mortar. For larger section of repair the modified mortar is to be applied in layers of maximum 7-10 mm thickness per layer. Several layers can be applied in quick succession of 15 to 30 minutes.
The above proportions may vary depending upon mix constituents. It is strongly recommended to carry out site mix design and site trials.
