DESCRIPTION:
AT-PLAST H (NR) is a high range water reducing-cum-retarding admixture with high degree of slump retention. It is dark brown in colour and is a liquid based on specially selected organic polymers. It allows significant reduction in water content whilst maintaining high workability. Water reduction up to 15% is possible with AT-PLAST H (NR) depending upon the dosage, site condition and/or application.
STANDARDS:
Complies with IS 9103, ASTM C-494 Type B, D and G
USES:
- AT-PLAST H (NR) is used where an extremely workable flowing concrete is required without loss of strength or large water reduction is to be made with same workability. AT-PLAST H (NR) ensures dense concrete with higher ultimate strength. In addition to high degree of workability retention, particularly when there is delay in transportation or placing of concrete is likely to cause rapid loss of slump in higher temperature.
ADVANTAGES:
- High workability
- Less vibration required, self-compacting
- Reduced permeability due to lower w/c ratio
- Higher strength
- Reduced segregation with increased cohesion
- Chloride free, safe for pre-stressed and reinforced concrete
- Reasonable working life at elevated temperature
- Economical, substantial cement saving is possible without strength or workability loss
DOSAGE:
- The normal dosage of AT-PLAST H (NR) is in the range of 0.5% to 1.5% by weight of cement, depending upon the requirements at site.
APPLICATION:
- Suitable mix design is a pre requisite for water reducing admixture should be followed with AT-PLAST H (NR) for ensuring particular strength requirement, cost saving or flowing concrete or high slump concrete
