Ferroguard

DESCRIPTION:

AT-FERROGARD is a liquid concrete admixture for use in reinforced concrete and mortar. It acts as a corrosion inhibitor and substantially increases the durability of a structure.

USES:

  • AT-FERROGARD is used in the following structures:
    • Concrete roads
    • Bridges & Tunnels
    • Concrete in Coastal Areas
    • Retaining Walls
    • Industrial plants
    • Multi storey car parking’s
    • Water Retaining Structures

ADVANTAGES:

AT-FERROGARD forms a coating on the steel surface hence reducing the chance and as well as the rate of corrosion. It provides the following beneficial advantages:

  • Corrosion protection of the reinforcing steel, especially from chloride attack.
  • The destructive influences of reinforcement corrosion are protected very well.
  • The negative influences on the properties of both the fresh as well as the hardened concrete is fully diminished.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE:

  • APPLICATION
    • AT-FERROGARD is mixed with the water or may be added directly to the concrete mixture. It can also be added to the concrete in the transit mixture at the point of discharge. In the above case at least an added mixing time of one minute per m3 should be given.

The quantity of AT-FERROGARD in the design mix should be taken in consideration while determining the quantity of water for a specific W/C ratio.

DOSAGE

  • 12 kg/m3 concrete is the recommended dose

COMPATIBILITY

  • AT-FERROGARD is compatible with all ATPL admixtures. However, rules of stood concrete manufacturing and placing practice must be observed to obtain high quality concrete.

PACKING

  • AT-FERROGARD is available in the following pack:
    • 20 kg in HDPE container
  • Shelf life is 12 months in sealed containers as provided
  • Protect AT-FERROGARD from cold, moisture, away from frost or direct sunlight
  • Keep containers sealed and away from heat and cold in a well ventilated area
  • Stir material well before use

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
  • Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water.
  • Store in well-labeled containers.
  • If required get medical attention.
