A 2-COMPONENT HIGH BUILD, PATENTED COATING SYSTEM FOR SALTPETRE TREATMENT, WITH WATERPROOFING & DAMP-PROOF PROPERTIES.

DESCRIPTION:

CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) is a two component high build coating system comprising of a specially formulated liquid and a powder component made of selected chemicals. CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) is a multi-action waterproofing agent designed to treat and consolidate walls / surface subject to saltpetre. CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) protects and hardens the walls / surface damaged by saltpetre & damp. It is a permanent solution, especially for repairing saltpetre problem in concrete, mortar and masonry wall. CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) exhibits excellent bonding with the substrate. The major product solutions are:
1. An anti-saltpetre waterproofing system in counter pressure (from within the wall and outside the wall)
2. Waterproofing & Damp-proof properties
3. Hardens and consolidates the surface deteriorated by saltpetre and damp.

CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) is the only patented product in India from ADO’s product range.

SUBSTRATES:

TECHNICAL DATA:

SURFACE PREPARATION:

• Optimum performance is achieved by using the right combination of products, surface preparation and application procedures.
• Remove the plaster of the affected area or areas to be treated by mechanical chipping or any other suitable method and make the area free from any loose particles, dust or debris.
• Clean and moist the surface by sprinkling or jetting water so that we have SSD condition before product application.

APPLICATION: STEP I:

• Application as a Coating System (a 2 Component High Build Coating) – CONVAC (PP STRENGTH)
  • Remove the affected plaster and prepare the surface adequately.
  • Component A (Powder) should be added with Water in 1:1 ratio.
  • Then add CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) Component B (Liquid) 20% by weight of Component A
  • Mixing Ratio 5:1 (Component A : Component B) by weight.
  • Mix thoroughly till uniform consistency is achieved.
  • Mix properly by any suitable method so that it should be free from lump.
  • Mix well by agitation/stirring before application.
  • Additional water may be used to make the system achieve brush-able consistency.
  • Then apply the mix on the prepared surface by using brush or any other suitable method to form a homogeneous coating
  • 2 coatings recommended
  • Coverage: 1.2 kg of CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) will cover 1 sq mt area

STEP II:

• Application as an additive to the plaster over CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) High Build Coating
  • CONVAC PLUS (PP STRENGTH) should be added with the cement, sand mortar to a dosage of 0.5%-1% by weight of cement and then apply the mortar on the coated area after 24 hours.

  NOTE:
  1. Leave 50 mm plaster at the skirting line/joint of masonry wall and floor for at least 3 weeks in those areas which are highly affected due to capillary action of water. Then plaster the area with cement, sand mortar mixed with CONVAC PLUS (PP STRENGTH) after the gap area is completely dry.
  2. Dosage may vary depending on the nature of affected area and surface porosity.

PACKAGING & STORAGE:

• CONVAC (PPSTRENGTH) is available in the following composite packing:
  • Pack A – 5 kg (Component A = Powder)
  • Pack B – 1 kg (Component B = Liquid)
• Customize bigger packs on request only
• Shelf life is 12 months in sealed containers as provided
• Protect CONVAC (PP STRENGTH) from direct sunlight
• Keep containers sealed and away from heat and cold in a well ventilated area

HEALTH & SAFETY:

• Protect hands with rubber gloves and eyes with goggles.
• Accidental splashes to the skin or eyes must be rinsed immediately with clean water or boric acid solution.
• Store in well-labeled containers.
