DESCRIPTION:
AT – COAT (CR) 763 is a high build, slightly thixotropic protective coating. When cured, AT – COAT (CR) 763 provides a hard, glossy film with excellent resistance to abrasion and attack by acids, alkalis, solvents, oils, grease, fuels, chemicals, etc. AT – COAT (CR) 763 has remarkable adhesion to most building products.
STANDARDS:
AT – COAT (CR) 763 complies with ASTM B117-11, IS: 9162-1979 (R2001) & BS 6319 Part II
USES:
- AT – COAT (CR) 763 is used for the high level protection of concrete and steel surfaces, such as:
- Tanks and silos, walls and floors
- In chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, pharmaceutical industries etc, and dye works
ADVANTAGES:
- AT – COAT (CR) 763 offers exceptional chemical resistance and Anti-Corrosion properties.
- Other benefits include: solvent free, no shrinkage, good adhesion, high chemical strength, easily clean abrasion resistance.
- Low Viscosity: Fluid consistency compared to traditional novolac coatings, facilitating application at higher coverage rates.
- Fast Hardening: Minimizes downtime, allowing quick return to service, and fast- tracking of multi-coat installations.
- Excellent Chemical Resistance: Outperforms standard ‘bisphenol-A’ epoxy coating systems, particularly under exposure to concentrated acids, hydrocarbon solvents, hot water and saline water.
- Gloss and Clarity: Excellent aesthetic results readily achieved.
COVERAGE:
- 0.25 to 0.30 kg/m² per coat based on prime substrate
INSTRUCTION FOR USE:
- Surface Preparation: The entire surface must be clean and free from standing water and all other adhering particles. The surface must be roughened and prior to that all cement laitance must be cleared off. Any mechanical method or sand blasting may be used for the preparation work.
- Mixing: Use a slow speed electric drill with a properly designed impeller to mix both the components to give it a smooth consistency. Mix the exact quantity which can be applied within its pot life.
APPLICATION:
- When mixed, it can be applied directly to the prepared surface by roller, spray or brush. It should be well brushed over damp surfaces. With specified time frame pour new concrete so that the material still remains tacky.
